Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and the heart behind YourSoundLab.com
My professional life has taken a few sharp turns, but every one of them led me right back to where I was always meant to be.
I started out young, crawling through attics and basements as a licensed electrician (good, honest, hands-on work that paid the bills and taught me how to fix just about anything). Then a back injury put a hard stop to that chapter. While I was healing, I studied computer graphics and fell in love with digital design. For years I built brands, websites, and 3D worlds for clients all over the country.
During those long nights in front of glowing screens, I started getting curious about something deeper: how the mind actually works. One book on hypnosis led to another, and before I knew it I was enrolled in clinical hypnotherapy training. I got certified, opened a practice, and immediately felt that “this is it” click in my chest. Guiding people into calm, helping them release stress and finally sleep soundly again—it lit me up in a way nothing else ever had.
Then life did what life does. Bills piled up, the economy tightened, and electrical work was the surest paycheck around. So about twenty years ago I put the hypnosis practice on hold, picked the tools back up, and built a successful contracting business specializing in panel upgrades and recessed lighting. I ran crews, solved problems on job sites, and kept the lights on (literally) for a lot of people.
It was solid, respectable work. But every single day there was this quiet ache reminding me that something essential was missing.
So here I am—older, steadier, and finally done ignoring the pull.
Coming back to hypnotherapy doesn’t feel like a career change; it feels like coming home after a very long, very educational road trip. The precision I learned wiring houses now helps me craft razor-sharp hypnotic suggestions. The patience I needed on job sites translates directly into sitting with clients who’ve struggled with sleep for decades. And all those years of showing up in work boots kept me grounded, plain-spoken, and deeply relatable.
YourSoundLab.com is where all of it comes together: the technical know-how, the creative mind, the hard-earned life experience, and the clinical hypnosis skills I never stopped loving. Everything here is designed to give you solutions that actually work—practical, science-backed, emotionally intelligent, and delivered by someone who’s lived in the real world, not just a therapy office.
If you’re exhausted from another restless night, struggle with procrastination, or just want to change something about your life, you don’t need another gadget or generic tip list. You need someone who understands both the wiring of a house and the wiring of a worried mind.
That’s me. And I’m all in.
Let’s finally get you the change you’re seeking—for good this time.
